About Paris Lay

Neither the city nor the brand of chips.

Paris starts his day by arriving at the office and hanging up the hat he stole from Pharrell’s closet. Then he searches “LeBron James” on Google images and scrolls until he gets an assignment to write a commercial. He doesn’t flip well.

Q&A

Q&A

  • What is your hometown, and what’s the best thing about it?

Flint, Michigan. We're the birthplace of General Motors, so you're welcome, America.

  • Who is your favorite real-life genius? Why?

Stephen King. I consider him a genius not only because of his prolific output but because of the quality of his work. King has an unmatched talent for making the ordinary and mundane seem horrifyingly extraordinary. Pound-for-pound, I believe he is one of the greatest fiction writers to ever put pen to paper, proverbially speaking.

  • Tell us about a fictional product you’d like Mad Genius to get creative for.

The personal-use jetpack. We're well into the 21st century. All fictional media has led me to believe I should have a jetpack by now.
